FLOTATION REAGENTS

 

Production program Flotation reagents for non-ferrous metal ores of Chemical Industry "Župa" ad Kruševac includes:

 

SODIUM ETHYL XANTHATE

CONTENTS    A.M. Content         min. 88-90% as per acetone method

APPEARANCE  Light yellow powder or flakes.

APPLICATION Sodium ethyl xanthate is successfullu applied where high selektivity in separating of certain sulphide minerals is needed as: galena, halcosin, caveline etc...

For achieving of satisfaktory results in lead or copper metal usage in appropriate concentrate, it is recommended to consume combined sodium ethyl xanthate with potassium amyl xanthate or potassium butyl xanthate in ratio 1:1. Controlled dosing of this collektor at treatment of lead-zinc ores with increased content of pyrite, high quality lead concentrates can be achieved with optimal use of lead and lead concentrate. We recommend use in mild alkali pH environment. Dissolve only for a daily consumption.

SODIUM ISOPROPYL XANTHATE

CONTENTS A.M. Content   min.85% (flakes); min. 80% (powder or pellets)

APPEARANCE Dry powder, pellets or flakes, light yellow or yellow.

APPLICATION Sodium isopropyl xanthate has broad practical application at flotation of complex lead - zinc ores in a cycle of a joing flotation of zinc and pyrite minerals. For flotation of lead mineral some of ethyl xanthates is usually used. Joint flotation of zinc and pyrite mineral with initial activation with copper sulphate is applied for reaching of higher use of zinc. This collector is successfully applied for flotation of native copper, gold as well as of iron sulphide, carrier of cobalt and nickel.

After demudding of the waste of zinc or copper mineral flotation, and after activating of pyrite with sulphuric acid, sodium isopropyl xanthate may be used for pyrite flotation in acid environment.

SODIUM ISOBUTYL XANTHATE

CONTENTS   A.M. Content min. 88% as per acetone method

APPEARANCE Dry powder or flakes, light jellow or jellow.

APPLICATION Sodium isobutyl xanthate is used for flotation of almost all sulphide minerals where high selectivity is not required. It can be successfully applied at flotation of sulphide minerals containing gold, silver or native gold in the process of selective flotation of zinc mineral, after activating of sphalerite or mormolite by copper sulphate. The latest researches have shown that application of this collector is broad at joint flotation of complex ores of lead-zinc, copper and pyrite. For gaining of the top technological results it is to be used for flotation of sulphide mineral of copper, zinc and pyrite in the natural pH environment.

POTASSIUM ETHYL XANTHATE

CONTENTS   A.M. Content   min. 90% as per aceton method

APPEARANCE Dry powder, light yellow to yellow colour.

APPLICATION Potassium ethyl xanthate is successfully applied in the cycle of flotation of lead mineral at the selective method of flotation concentration of lead-zinc ores. It has exceptional selectivity due to the shortest hydrocarbon radikal with only two carbon atoms. Application of this collector found its place at flotation concentration of copper ores in combination with potassium amyl xanthates. At flotation of oxide minerals of lead and copper, after sulphidation, potassium ethyl xanthate reaches high usage and quality with a bit increased consumption. This collector is recommended exclusively for operation in alkali environment (pH>7.0).

POTASSIUM BUTYL XANTHATE

CONTENTS  A.M. Content   min. 90% as per acetone method

APPEARANCE Dry powder, light yellow or yellow.

APPLICATION Potassium butyl xanthate is used for flotation of dry sulphide minerals of complex ores of lead, zinc, copper and pyrite in the cycle of joint flotation. Application of this collector gives hight technologic indicators at flotation of golden ores and cement copper. For flotation of zinc mineral after activating with copper sulphate, the best tehnologic results are achieved if procces takes place in pH environment of 10,5 to 11. The Russian researchers paid lot attention to this collector and they apply it successfully for flotation of copper-nickel-pyrite ores. We recommend dissolving for daily use. Solution is to be maintained at the level of 10%.

POTASSIUM ISOBUTYL XANTHATE

POTASSIUM AMYL XANTHATE

CONTENTS   A.M. Content  min. 90% as per acetone method

APPEARANCE Dry powder or pellets, grey yellow to greenish yellow.

APPLICATION Potassium amyl xanthate ranks among strong collectors and that is why it is used in cases when high use of useful metal is required. It can be applied for flotation of all types of sulphide minerals in combination with weaker xathates and adding point is in the control part of flotetion. Wide application of this collector is at flotation of lead-zinc and copper ores in combination with potassium ethyl xanthate. In the process of selective flotation concentration of lead and zinc ore SHERIDAN - GRISMOLD procedure is mostly applied with strong depressing of zinc mineral. After activation of zinc mineral with copper sulphate by potassium amyl xanthate hight tehnologic use of zinc concentrate is achieved.

SELKOL 19-81

CONTENTS      A.M. Content   min. 93%

APPEARANCE Oily light yellow to reddish liquid.

APPLICATION Collector for ores of copper molybdenum and zinc metals with highly expressed properties of selectivity in relation to sulphide minerals of iron. It is mainly used in all cases where there is problem of separation of copper mineral, copper- molybdenum and zinc from pyrite ores.
